Vol 1 has five loose ms. letters (dated 1917-1920) to [?]Albert Daniel Rutherston from T. J. Cobden-Sanderson, discussing the purchase of this bible, referring to the binding, and with an explanation of the some of the printing processes and subsequent 'foxing' of all Doves Press Bibles.
All vols with tan morocco binding with gilt lettering on spine, gilt tooling on spine and boards, and gilt edges ; housed in black cloth boxes ; bound by the Doves Bindery by Cobden-Sanderson (binder's stamp inside back board).
