Baldwins, Kent: Indenture of assignment of lease of woods

Indenture of lease, by Philip Warwicke, of London, esquire, William Watkins, of the city of Westminster, esquire, and Richard Bannard, of Lincoln's Inn, gentleman, to Henry Elsinge, of Westminster, esquire, of a parcel of wood and wood ground called Death Spring, containing four acres, in Dartford, being parcel of the manor of Bawdwyns [Baldwins]. By lease of 24 January 1632 George Marler, of Craford, co. Kent, esquire, had let the premises for 99 years to George Tucker of Dartford, esquire, who had assigned his lease to the said Warwicke, Watkins and Bannard.
And further, bargain and sale to the said Elsinge of a messuage with 11 acres in Dartford, late in the occupation of Edward Cunnocke. For 99 years. Rent 12d.
Witnesses: Thomas Payne, Lestrange Firmyn, Robert Robinson, William Brunell, Nathaniel Smith, - Hodges.
Signature of Warwick and Barnad.
Three doubled tags for seals, only that of Bernard survives, oval, 23mm, red wax. Armorial: quarterly first and fourth three demi-lions rampant, second and third on a fesse between three annulets three roundles.
