The Interest of the college in the property appears to date from 10 July 1506, when, by two deeds of enfeoffment, Provost Lupton and the college received from William Ketyll and John Mason a messuage, 160 acres of arable, 30 acres of meadow, 20 acres of wood and 9 cartloads of wood yearly in Cookham, and from William Lynde and John Mason 56 acres of arable, 3 acres of pasture and a rent of 21s in Cookham and Maidenhead and a messuage, 30 acres of arable, 3 acres of pasture, 3 acres of wood and 6 cartloads of wood yearly in le Comyn Woode of Cookham in Bray. These grants are stated to have been made in accordance with the will of provost Bost.
