Description

Content (description)

Wounded in the leg, Adonis leans on his spear to left. He wears a cloak clasped round his neck. Two hounds stand by his feet. By him two columns support an entablature, to which a boar's head is attached. A tree grows in the background. On the right side is a high rock, on which grows a tree.
