Description
82: front. In the centre is a large panel holding an inscription. Around the panel is a border of floral scroll rising from a clump of acanthus leaves at bottom centre. There are birds and lizards here and there. The inscription reads: DIS MANIBUS/ C TELEGENI/ OPTATI L ANTHI/ VIATORIS QUAESTORI/AB AERARIO ET/ SCRIBAE LIBRARI QUAESTORI/ TRIUM DECURIARUM.
83: back.All of the back is occupied by a pedimented doorway standing on four steps. At each side a pilaster, decorated with a floral candelabrum, supports an entablature of plain mouldings and the pediment, in which are a patera, simpulum, dolphin, oenochoe and boukranion. Sphinxes with outspread wings sit over the pilasters. Between the pilasters is the double door, each leaf divided into two panels in which are lion heads with rings in their mouths.
84: side. In the centre stands a laurel tree with berries and crinkled leaves. in its branches are three birds and a snail. At the foot of the tree a stork with outspread wings eyes a worm emerging from a fleshless boukranion. On left a stork siezes the tail of a lizard which is running up the tree trunk.
