Description

Content (description)

The draped bust of a woman, viewed obliquely from left. Her hair is parted in the centre and falls in waves down the side of her head and then lies in ringlets on her neck. Between the bust and its pedestal is a panel with the inscription POPPAEA.
Poppaea is repeated very faintly on the adjoining face of the pedestal
