Description

Content (description)

The lituus is treated as the curving stem of a plant with small leaves sprouting from joints at frequent intervals. The crooked top ends in the head and neck of a bird with hooked beak, its neck masked by an acanthus leaf.
Very faint pencil drawing on a small part of the reverse.
