Description
A youth, wearing high boots, a belted tunic and a cloak pinned on his right shoulder with some diagonal drape beneath his right arm, stands with his arms crossed at the wrist in front of him. He inclines his head, with long flowing hair, to his right. There is a tree trunk by his left leg. (This is the same as Bm 14. 38 but in reverse). There are small sketches all round, one perhaps showing the appearance of the angel to Abraham as he sacrificed Isaac. There is a full drawing on the reverse: Bm 14. 39 v.
