Content (description)

On a tondo is shown a Medusa head, full face. The hair is parted in the centre and falls in waves over the ears, then the locks are lifted back up to the crown of the head, on top of which is a diadem (?) of two rows of scale pattern. Two snakes entwine beneath her chin.
