Description

Content (description)

On far left a nymph rides a sea-goat, which is led to right by a satyr. Two putti fly after her, another rides a dolphin through the waves beneath. Next a nymph with her back to the viewer rides a bearded sea-centaur, who holds a rod and leads a horse to right. A putto rides a dolphin beneath. A nymph, holding a lyre with a putto by it, rides on the back of a sea-centaur to left. On one of the centaur's shoulders is a putto, on the other an anchor; a putto rides a dolphin beneath. On right a bearded sea-centaur, leading a bull and holding a box on his head, moves to left, a nymph with billowing drapery on his back and a putto standing on one of his coils. A putto rides a dolphin beneath and plays the double pipes.
