Description
The vase is a deep bowl of mottled green marble, perhaps serpentine, with convex fluting round the bottom, and stands on a simple foot. The lid or cover is more elaborate: convex flutings radiate from the base of a high knob, on which crouches an Egyptian figure wearing a loin cloth and enormous wig of tiered curls. Measurements are given at various places in 'once' figures.
