Content (description)

Surmounting the three inscriptions, which are set side by side along the bottom of the engraving, is a representation of the the Sun god driving his quadriga towards the spectator. His horses prance to left and right. The three inscriptions are as follows:
a. Relief of two hands. QUISQUIS EI LAESIT/ AUTNOCUIT SEVERAE/ INMERENTI DOMINE/SOL TIBI COMMENDO/ TU INDICES EIUS MORTEM/
b. D.M.S./ CALLISTO FILIO/ PARENTES
c. Two hands in relief at the top of the panel. DM/ TIMOTHEAE/ M ULPIUS/NICANOR/ VERNAE/ SUAE F/ SOL TIBI COMMENDO/ QUI MANUS INTULIT EI.
