Description
The panel with the following inscription is scrolled and decorated with leaves and branches. Three bees perch on the scrolled parts and top centre there is the sun in a shell.
The first line of the extensive inscription: INTERPRETATIO LITHOSTROTI PRAENESTINI, ALEXANDRI MAGNI PROFECTIONEM PER AEGYPTUM AD HAMMONIS ORACULUM CONSULENDUM IN EO STATUENS..... thereafter follows a long interpretation and explanation of the mosaic.
