Description
Two identical engravings show a procession of men, women and children moving left following two bulls to an altar for a sacrifice. At the altar stand two bald and bearded priests. By the bulls and also on far right are two trees. On the altar, which is decorated with garlands and bearded heads, is a tabula ansata with the inscription L. Lom.
Beneath the whole painting is the inscription: SIC SALSAS FRUGES, SIC VINCTI TEMPORA VITTIS THURA DABANT, MULTUSQ CRUOR FUMABAT AD ARAS.
