Description
Content (description)
The design is basically a series of rectangles, one inside the other, on a pale ground. The rectangles are formed of various motifs, including reeds. In the centre of each side, touching the outer edge, is a small panel with an arched top; in two of the panels are leaping goats, in the other two are griffins. Garlands run between the arched tops of the panels. In the centre is a panel, surrounded by an oval garland and decorated with the figure of Pegasus.
