Content (description)

The coins (both obverse and reverse shown) are arranged in four rows within a border of laurel with three crescent moons at each corner.
Above the coins is a scroll panel with the inscription: AUREA XII PRIORUM CAESARUM NUMISMATA/QUAE ROMAE IN MUSEO STROZZIO ASSERVANTUR
Beneath the coins hangs a drape, providing a panel on which is the key to the coins. A brief description of the coin is given and the inscriptions written out in full.
