Content (description)

a. Obverse and reverse of the coin are shown linked by a band with the inscription MAX.MOD. On left is a the head of a man to right. He wears a jewelled diadem. On right are four standards, with the inscription CONSTANTINUS AUG SMK.
b. The obverse and reverse are shown linked by a band with the words MED.MOD. On left is a head to right wearing a radiate crown with the inscription C.OVAL. OTIL. MESC. QUINTUS AUG. On right is the facade of a temple, within which the standing statue of a warrior can be seen through the central intercolumniation: SAECULUM NOVUM written overhead.
c. On the band linking the two sides of the coin are the words PAR.MOD. On left is a head wearing a wreath to right: FL.VAL.CONSTANTINUS NOB.C written overhead. On right is a laurel wreath, at the top of which is a diadem. Inside the wreath are the words HAEC VOTA MULT.ANN.
Beneath the coins in a panel is the inscription:
NUMISMATA ANTIQUA ARGENTEA/ EX MUSEO D.HOULON SENATORIS AMBIANENSIS/ EXPLICANDA PROPONUNTUR REI ANTIQUARIAE STUDIOSIS.
