Four panthers draw to right the carriage in which nude Dionysus reclines, holding a cup and a thyrsus entwined with vine tendrils. He is attended by a putto and a two Pans. Two maenads with thyrsoi, one carrying a basket of grapes on her head, the other blowing a trumpet, move to right by the side of the panthers.
