On right nude Polyphemus sits on a mound with his right foot drawn up on a rock, resting on a staff and holding Pan pipes in his left hand by his side. Far right is a tree trunk. On left Galatea with flying drapes, holding a shell aloft, is drawn through waves on a shell by two dolphins to left. She turns to look at Polyphemus. A putto flies overhead from centre to left with a drawn bow. In the background is a wall and a landscape in the distance on left.
