In the foreground a nude satyr kneels and empties grapes from the basket on his shoulder into a vat on right. In the background right sits large infant Dionysus wearing a wreath and holding a cup, sitting on a high 'base' and leaning his right elbow on a 'barrel'. The wall behind him is decked with a garland. On left in the background a draped maenad wearing a grape wreath stands to left and holds a wide basket of grapes; she turns to look at the satyr in the foreground. On far left two nude putti hold a wide basket of fruit on high between them.
