Description
Each head is shown frontally at the top and a side view is given below. Top left is the head of an old sea-man, with a long beard which spreads over his finny collar in six bunches of locks. Fins sprout at the side of his neck and at his ears, as well as among his hair on his temples. Fins also spread on his chin and beneath his eyes.
At top right is a young sea-man, beardless, with finny collar and fins at his temples, on his neck and beneath his eyes. Below is shown the side view of the two heads, with the youthful head on left.
