Physical description
One of a pair of silver gilt livery pots, pear shaped bodies on circular domed feet with 'S' shaped handles. Both are engraved with the arms of Savile impaling Dacres. The bodies and covers are chased and engraved with running, arabesque strapwork, patterns enclosing large rosettes in circular frames. Both foot and lids have rows of egg and dart patterns. These two flagons were separated for many years, explaining the difference in their condition.
