Late 17th century mid brown calf; blind tooled double fillet and scroll roll concentric frames, with the outer frame having diagonal lines joining the corners and blind stamped fleurons at each corner; the central panel and outer frame are mottled; gold tooled scroll roll on board edges; blind tooled double fillet on spine; traces of a tooled spine label, now lost; four raised bands; red sprinkled edges.
