[Copy 2]: Late 18th or early 19th century speckled mid-brown calf with imitation diced effect over millboard, sewn on three recessed supports; rebacked? On both covers, an outer border of single gilt fillets; wide squares, the board edges tooled with a gilt dotted roll, the turn-ins with a gilt arrowhead-shaped roll. Spine smooth and rounded, divided into six panels by transverse gilt fillets (thin-thick-thin); panels with a gilt foliate cartouche, the second and fourth with gilt titling ("Works of Shenstone") and vol. numbers respectively; ?false endbands of alternating red, green, and white thread. Textblock trimmed and sprinked red and green. Endpapers comprising a bifolium of grey card (pastedown and flyleaf) and plain wove paper (flyleaves).
