Engraved armorial bookplate of George Robert Smith and inscribed as Eton leaving book from Percy Bysshe Shelley (not in Shelley's hand) on front free-endpaper: "Geo. Robt. Smith. Regiae Scholae Etonensis alumnus. E[x] dono Percy Bishe Shelly [sic]. July 30th 1810" and with note in another hand: "The poet "Shelly" [sic] who was drowned in the Gulph of Spezia in the Mediterranean Sea in 1821".
[Copy 3] Ms. note on front flyleaf: "J. Fanshawe. Given him by Dr Keate June 4th 1811"; later ms. note in pencil below: "The Rev. J.L. Fanshawe of Parsloes Essex. His leaving book given him on leaving Eton College June 1811 by the then Headmaster of Eton Dr Keate".

[Copy 3] ?18th-century calfskin over ?pasteboards. Covers decorated with double gilt fillets to form a border; single gilt fillet on board edges; floral gilt roll on turn-ins. Spine with five raised bands, decorated with gilt titling ("Catullus"). Textblock trimmed and marbled. Endpapers of marbled and undecorated paper; three flyleaves at both ends of the textblock.
