16th century brown calf over pasteboard, sewn on four alum-tawed supports, possibly bound at Oxford. On both covers, a blind-stamped centrepiece (similar to Ker, centrepiece xxxii); outer border of blind triple fillets (thin-thick-thin); board edges tooled with a blind fillet. Spine with four raised bands, tooled over and aside with transverse blind fillets, with diagonal hatching at head and tail; endbands of plain thead; traces of hatching in the Oxford style on the leather over endbands. Endpapers comprising a single bifolium (pastedown and flyleaf) with paper stub of 14th/15th century manuscript waste. Textblock trimmed and ?dyed yellow. Chain mark on lower fore-edge of upper cover.
