Mid 18th century Cambridge-style panelled calf, sewn on three supports; bound in England. On both covers, the innermost panel diamond-shaped; middle panel outlined by blind double fillets with a blind ornamental roll; outer border of blind double fillets; medium squares; board edges tooled with a blind ornamental roll. Spine with five raised bands (two false), tooled aside with transverse gilt double fillets, the same at head and tail; the second panel with gilt titling ("Amelia" with vol. no.) over an inlaid label of leather of the same colour; endbands of alternating brown and white thread. Textblock trimmed and sprinkled red. Endpapers comprising a bifolium of plain laid paper (pastedown and flyleaf) with 'Pro Patria'/Maid of Dort watermark; some vols. with additional flyleaf or flyleaves.
