Note from card catalogue: "The final leaf has a list of errata, preceded by a note from Hieronymus Curio which points out that a Latin translation of the work may be found in the collected Opera of G. Valla (Venice 1501), and that it was the publisher's intention to include this with the Greek text. The note also includes a "puff" for the edition of the Almagest pubilshed "inusitatis ac maximis impendijs" in 1538 by Walder".

Contents: This work is an introduction to the astronomical theories of Hipparchus and Ptolemy in which the author describes the mathematical theory of the planets based on epicycles and on eccentrics. The term hypotyposis was sometimes used in place of the more familiar hypothesis : this work contains a discussion of the reality of celestial objects.
