Late 16th or early 17th century dark brown calf; blind tooled double fillet border and large strapwork centrepiece; traces of chain clasp; rebacked, with parts of original spine reattached; blind tooled fillet with hatched panels at head and tail; paper spine label with ms. title; six raised bands.
