Contemporary English brown calf; blind tooled three line fillet border, blind tooled single fillet along board edges; holes for chains; blind tooled double fillet on spine, with single fillet on raised bands and two panels of hatching at head and tail; red morocco spine label with gold tooled letters; seven raised bands; 15th/16th century ms. material used as pastedowns in vol. 1, and visible beneath pastedowns in vol. 2.; possibly by Williamson.
