Contemporary English brown calf; wooden boards; blind tooled intersecting frame of decorative roll with lion, portcullis and wivern (Oldham, English Blind stamped Books, 563), with a central panel decorated with lozenge shaped ornament (Oldham, 971); traces of clasps; resewn and rebacked in 20th century, with light brown calf; four raised bands; trace of title written along fore edge.
