The text in this edition also re-issued in 1598, after Estienne's death: "The following year when the woodcut emblems became available, as well as the Latin version by Jaquemot of Beza's Abraham Sacrifiant, Jacob Stoer printed these and published them in conjunction with the portion already printed by Estienne; in the process, the last 20 pages of the Estienne edition were removed, so that the Emblemata would not be duplicated ..."--Schreiber, The Estiennes : an annotated catalogue of 300 highlights of their various presses (New York : E.K. This record describes the original 1597 issue by Henri Estienne, but the bulk of the woodcuts are present, excluding nos. 41-44.
