Part 2 originally was dated 1578 on the title page, but only one known copy survives with this date.
The last "o" in the word "Astronomicon" in the title is printed as the Greek character omega.
Second part has separate dated title page reading: "Iosephi Scaligeri Iul. Caesaris f. in ManilI quinque libros astronomicon commentarius et castigationes"; it begins new pagination and signatures.
First edition of Scaliger's text, and the earliest extant treatise on astrology.
