The appendix contains "Correspondence between Louis XIV. and M. Barillon on English affairs, from Dec. 1584 [i.e. 1684] to Dec. 1585 [i.e. 1685]" and other pieces.
Another edition, on larger paper, was printed by W. Bulmer and Co, with a half-title page including the statement: "Royal paper. - Two guineas and a half, boards." Copies were apparently also available on "Elephant paper" (cf. Lowndes).
Editor's address "To the reader" signed: "Vassall Holland, Holland House, April 25th, 1808.". There follows a postcript (not present in the Bulmer edition), containing a letter written by Fox and dated November 20, 1803.

Donation inscription on front fly leaf: Bibliotheca Etonensi D.D. E.H. Pickering. This could be Edward Henry Pickering, assistant master at Eton 1839-1852, or his son, Edward Henry Umfreville Pickering, a pupil 1849-1855.
Dewey classification inscribed in ink, together with "Reserve stock" stamp indicate originally in kept in Eton School Library.
Contemporary English brown sprinkled calf; gold tooled double fillet border; blind tooled decorative roll on turn-in; modern rebacking in brown morocco, with blind tooled triple fillet; older green morocco spine label reattached; marbled endpapers.
