Mid-seventeenth century Dutch stiff vellum binding; gold tooled single fillet border and inner frame with diagonals, and fleur-de-lys fleurons at each corner; strapwork centrepiece with floral ornamentation; gold tooled single fillet on spine, with single fleuron in each compartment; black morocco spine label with gold tooled letters and frame; thumb index along fore-edge, of vellum tabs.
