Armorial bookplate of Welbore St. Clair Baddeley. Baddeley was a world traveller, amateur archaeologist and historian, known for his friendship with James McNeill Whistler. Mrs Baddeley, presumably his wife, donated the Baddeley Codex (MS 354) to Eton College Library.
