Letterpress in Latin engraved at bottom of most plates; some plates in part 4 have letterpress in Italian.
Engraved title-pages; title-pages of parts 2-4 included in number of plates. The first title-page is plate 1.
This volume differs from the original produced by Lauro (1612-1628) in lacking the text on the versos of the plates. The volume also lacks the printed leaves in the original volume and the unnumbered plate of Urban VIII. following the title-page.
Plates 1-127 correspond for the most part with "Romanae magnitudinis monumenta", ed. Domenico de Rossi, published 1699.

Contemporary brown sprinkled calf; gold tooled double fillet border and frame, with inner frame of foliage decorative roll, and large vase fleurons at each corner; gold tooled twist roll along board edges; gold tooled decoration on spine; red morocco spine label with gold tooled letters and fleurons; five raised bands.
