Possibly engravings taken from 'Iconografia cioè disegni d'imagini de famosissimi monarchi, regi, filosofi, poeti ed oratori dell'antichità, cauati da Giouan Angelo Canin', published in Rome in 1669. Picart is recorded as the engraver for the plates of the French edition, published in Amsterdam in 1731.

Each plate is signed either by 'S. Picart' or by 'G. Valet'.
