Playscript of the 1950 adaptation by Christopher Fry, English dramatist. Peter Brook commissioned Fry to adapt the play from Jean Anouilh's 'Invitation to the Castle' (1947). The first production was given at the Globe Theatre and it starred Paul Scofield, Claire Bloom and Margaret Rutherford.
