Given to Mary Schlesinger Talbot by Robert Browning (information from ms. note in pencil on back endpaper). Mary Frederica Schlesinger (afterwards Talbot, 1865-1947) was the eldest daughter of Henry Schlesinger (1830-1912) and his wife, Emilie (née Berly, 1846-1938). She married, in 1890, George Talbot (1857-1941). Mary's mother and Fannie Browning were second cousins.

19th century brown calf with blind decorative panel stamped on boards, and decoration blind stamped on spine, with gilt on red leather lettering piece on spine.
