Contains 72 mezzotint plates, all portraits, including a set of portraits by Kneller. The plate on which the title is written in pencil is also a print reading 'Oeuvre de Rembrandt. Tome I.' within a rococo frame.

Contemporary English brown russia calf; gold tooled Harleian border of floral roll with crowns and sceptres; gold tooled floral roll on board edges; gold tooled decoration and title on spine; six raised bands; gilt edges; red, blue, green and yellow nonpareil marbled endpapers.
