Text in Latin with references and examples in Greek (in the critical footnotes).
"Daretis Phrygii de excidio Troiae historia", an account of the destruction of Troy, is a work in Latin purporting to be a translation of a Greek original by Dares Phrygius, and was sometimes attributed to Cornelius Nepos (though the work post-dates Nepos, probably to the 5th cent. AD). The De excidio formed the chief source for the numerous medieval accounts of the Trojan legend.
Edited by Josias Mercier. The first edition of his recension was published at Paris by R. Estienne in 1618.
