Late 16th-century brown calf Oxford binding ca. 1580-1600; three blind fillets to form a border; blind-tooled centrepiece on covers (Ker, V); traces of clasps; rebacked in 20th-century calf; five raised bands; original dark red morocco spine-label. Two leaves taken from a 12th-century MS of St Ambrose's De bono mortis used as pastedowns in the binding have been removed to a volume of Fragmenta, MS 220 no II (q.v).
