Physical description
595, [61]; [16], 569, [7] p. ; 17 cm. (8vo)
Note
Catalogued from imperfect copy wanting the part 1 title-page, and having the "Institutio oratoria" bound before the "Declamationes".
Note
In 2 parts. Part 1 is an edition of Quintilian's "Institutio oratoria"; part 2 is not in fact by Quintilian and is composed of "Declamationes pseudo-Quintilianeae (Maiores)" and "Declamationes pseudo-Quintilianeae (Minores)". The 2 parts have separate pagination and register. Although the title page calls for the "Institutio oratoria" to precede the "Declamationes", the "Declamationes" is usually bound first.
Note
Two Stoer editions of the same year are recorded, one omitting the place of publication on the title-page to the "Institutiones oratoriae", the other giving the place of publication as above (see Copac); the title-page to the "Declamationes", also dated 1625, omits the place of publication.
