[Copy 3] John Carter's pencil references inside back cover. Loosely inserted ALS to John Carter from Walter Armytage of Halston, Moyvore, Co. Westmeath dated 10 January 1968, enclosing a ms. copy of a letter from Esher to Sir Frederick Pollock dated 21 November 1923, found by Armytage in Pollock's copy of Cory's Ionicus, responding to comments on the book and on "present politics". Taped-in ALS to Muirhead from his sister Beatrix dated 22 May 1924.
