An exposition of the Jewish calendar, including the Hebrew text of an early Jewish historical work, the Seder olam zuta, by Sebastian Münster, one of the greatest Christian Hebraists of his time. Münster taught Hebrew language (and for a short time Bible) at Heidelberg and Basel Universities. Via his teaching and his textbooks, he helped to establish Hebrew and the interpretation of the Hebrew Bible as viable subjects of academic study.
