The "Regulation spiritual" was composed by Feofan (Theofan Prokopovich), Archbishop of Novgorod, as convener of the Synod of 1721.
The second volume is a miscellany on the Church and Peter the Great. It has separate dated t.p. reading "A collection of several valuable tracts, relating to the late Tsar of Russia's fleets, expedition to Derbent, &c. With an accurate map of the Caspian Sea. Translated from the originals in the Slavonian and Russian languages by Tho. Consett, M.A. late chaplain to the British factory in Russia, and fellow of the Royal Society of Sciences in Berlin.
