Later 17th-century sprinkled calf; border of blind double fillets with blind-tooled corner ornaments; armorial stamp of Edward Waterhouse (a pile engrailed) tooled in gold on both boards; gold fillet on board edges; gold-tooled spine compartments; five raised bands; red morocco spine label; ms. volume number on fore-edge.
