Fair copy ms., in Shelley's hand, of his poem "Remembrance" (published in "Posthumous Poems" under the title "A Lament") on both sides of a single leaf.
Given by Shelley to Jane Williams, as a signed letter from Shelley to Jane on the ms. shows. It was probably given in 1822.
Later came into the possession of John Edward Trelawny (1792-1881), who lent it to W. M. Rossetti.
Donated to Eton College Library by Trelawny's daughter, Mrs Charles F. Call, in October 1907. Autograph letter signed from Charles F. Call on behalf of his wife about the donation and a calling card are loosely inserted.
Letter is bound in quarter green leather over marbled paper covered boards ; gilt lettering on spine.
