Collection of 36 autograph letters, with accompanying envelopes. The majority are from John Ruskin to Harriet A. Martin, a Whitelands student who returned to the College as a governess between 1874 and 1884. She then became head of Cork High School for Girls, where most of these letters from Ruskin are addressed.

There are also 3 autograph letters signed from Martin to Ruskin, an autograph letter signed from Ruskin to Rose Graves and other letters to Martin from unidentified writers.
